Have you ever admired those iconic New York aerial photographs and wondered what it takes to make them happen? Are you interested in the process behind making such images? Or, perhaps you are excited to take a flight over the most exciting city in the world, and at the same time see how to operate an airplane? You now have a chance to take an airplane ride with an award-winning aerial photographer and flight instructor for whom the busy NYC airspace is but a second home and learn the skill of aerial photography. Experience an exhilarating ride over the imposing NYC skyline that will offer you some inimitable aerial vantage points. The definitive route of the experience being subject to traffic and weather conditions, you can expect at a bare minimum, a flight over the lower NY Bay and Hudson River with glorious views of the Statue of Liberty, Lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Often times, traffic permitting, the flight can also include the East River, crossing over Central Park that offers spectacular views of the park and Midtown Manhattan. The flight time for this experience is a little over an hour, and you should plan 3 to 4 hours for the entire experience to allow for travel from NYC to the airport in NJ and back. Pick up and drop off points are set in uptown Manhattan. Please note that weather conditions, airplane availability and other safety or security-related issues might require a reschedule of the originally planned flight. Please allow for alternative timing options. Safety first.
Fast lenses recommended. Carry your gear in a compact way, especially when attending with a friend.
Unfavorable weather conditions, airplane availability and other safety or security-related issues might require a reschedule of the originally planned flight. Please allow for alternative timing options. Safety first.
